VCExplorer: A Interactive Graph Exploration Framework Based on Hub Vertices with Graph Consolidation

چکیده
Graphs have been widely used to model different information networks, such as the Web, biological networks and social networks (e.g. Twitter). Due to the size and complexity of these graphs, how to explore and utilize these graphs has become a very challenging problem. In this paper, we propose, VCExplorer, a new interactive graph exploration framework that integrates the strengths of graph visualization and graph summarization. Unlike existing graph visualization tools where vertices of a graph may be clustered into a smaller collection of super/virtual vertices, VCExplorer displays a small number of actual source graph vertices (called hubs) and summaries of the information between these vertices. We refer to such a graph as a HA-graph (Hub-based Aggregation Graph). This allows users to appreciate the relationship between the hubs, rather than super/virtual vertices. Users can navigate through the HAgraph by “drilling down” into the summaries between hubs to display more hubs. We illustrate how the graph aggregation techniques can be integrated into the exploring framework as the consolidated information to users. In addition, we propose efficient graph aggregation algorithms over multiple subgraphs via computation sharing. Extensive experimental evaluations have been conducted using both real and synthetic datasets and the results indicate the effectiveness and efficiency of VCExplorer for exploration.

Study on the new graph constructed by a commutative ring
Let R be a commutative ring and G(R) be a graph with vertices as proper andnon-trivial ideals of R. Two distinct vertices I and J are said to be adjacentif and only if I + J = R. In this paper we study a graph constructed froma subgraph G(R)Δ(R) of G(R) which consists of all ideals I of R such thatI Δ J(R), where J(R) denotes the Jacobson radical of R. In this paper westudy about the relation b...
متن کاملA survey of the studies on Gallai and anti-Gallai graphs
The Gallai graph and the anti-Gallai graph of a graph G are edge disjoint spanning subgraphs of the line graph L(G). The vertices in the Gallai graph are adjacent if two of the end vertices of the corresponding edges in G coincide and the other two end vertices are nonadjacent in G. The anti-Gallai graph of G is the complement of its Gallai graph in L(G). Attributed to Gallai (1967), the study ...
متن کاملOn the Regular Power Graph on the Conjugacy Classes of Finite Groups
emph{The (undirected) power graph on the conjugacy classes} $mathcal{P_C}(G)$ of a group $G$ is a simple graph in which the vertices are the conjugacy classes of $G$ and two distinct vertices $C$ and $C'$ are adjacent in $mathcal{P_C}(G)$ if one is a subset of a power of the other. In this paper, we describe groups whose associated graphs are $k$-regular for $k=5,6$.
متن کاملA note on the order graph of a group
The order graph of a group $G$, denoted by $Gamma^*(G)$, is a graph whose vertices are subgroups of $G$ and two distinct vertices $H$ and $K$ are adjacent if and only if $|H|big{|}|K|$ or $|K|big{|}|H|$. In this paper, we study the connectivity and diameter of this graph. Also we give a relation between the order graph and prime graph of a group.
متن کاملOn the girth of the annihilating-ideal graph of a commutative ring
The annihilating-ideal graph of a commutative ring $R$ is denoted by $AG(R)$, whose vertices are all nonzero ideals of $R$ with nonzero annihilators and two distinct vertices $I$ and $J$ are adjacent if and only if $IJ=0$. In this article, we completely characterize rings $R$ when $gr(AG(R))neq 3$.
